Elite Team travels to FL for Olympic Trials

Five elite athletes from the Southern Califorina Scullers Club packed up and flew to Florida on (day) (thursday?) to settle in for the three remaining weeks leading up to Olympic qualifying events held at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida.

 

The event, Olympic Trials 1, will begin Sunday, April 17, and end one week later on April 24.

 

Dominic Wilmes is the SoCal Scullers' only entry in event 4, the Men's open single sculll, while both Stesha Carle and Kelly Pierce will compete in event 5, the Women's open single scull. Brandon Henderson and Will Young will represent the SoCal Scullers in event 8, the lightweight men's double scull.
